The one thing about having a toddler is that my house is never clean. Even when it is cleaned up, it still doesn't look right since most every breakable thing that used to be at knee level has now been moved to a higher shelf, rearranged or boxed up. This is somewhat frustrating for me and it seems I am always explaining to guests that my house doesn't normally look like this. Not sure why I do that but I do. The truth is, yes! It does normally look like this because that is the stage of life I am in. Crumbs constantly on the floor, toys scattered everywhere, stains on the carpet from the spills and little fingerprints on all the windows and glass. It's exhausting trying to keep up with it every day. I know it won't be like that forever but some days it's hard to keep that in mind.
However, on this particular day, my little guy took it upon himself to redecorate my entry way book shelf. After seeing what he'd done, I decided it looked fantastic and I would love to keep it that way permanently. Something tells me though that it won't last for long, so I'll just enjoy it while I can.

Awww! Someday when he is big and tall you'll look longingly at that bookshelf and daydream about when he used to fit in the bottom shelf! :) That is so cute!
