During the first week in January, Annie was able to participate in a local play put together by The Missoula Children's Theatre. MCT is a traveling group that holds auditions for local kids on a Monday, casts all the parts at the end of the auditions and begins practice immediately that night for the main characters. The kids have to commit to a two to four hour practice every day from Monday to Friday and also four hours on Saturday before the two performances. Once the performances are over on Saturday, the group packs up the set and travels to the next city to do it all over again the next week. Henry participated in one of these plays when he was in first grade as well. This year's play was The Princess and the Pea. Both Henry and Annie auditioned this year but only Annie was chosen because there was not a need for any children from age 8 to 10. There were a total of 108 kids that came to the audition but only 58 parts were cast so there were quite a few disappointed children. The year Henry performed there were just over 60 kids at the audition and all kids were used in the productions. During the audition, the kids were asked to say their name in different ways like happy, angry, etc., and also asked to say a couple lines. Annie was very nervous but with the support of Henry being there as well, it gave her the confidence to try. She did very well and was cast as a Dust Bunny. Annie had a fantastic time during the two performances and has vowed to do it every year until she is 18 since that is the oldest the kids can be for the auditions. MCT travels to Murray every year so hopefully both Henry and Annie will be able to participate next year. They would have a blast together!

What a STAR! Her singing and acting debut all within 6 weeks! :) I wish I could have seen them both...maybe I can because I bet you took video?
