We filled our last day of 2009 with family, friends and fun! In the morning I went snowshoeing for the first time with my sister Kristin and her two friends from church, Natalie and Tiffany. Our trail started out in North Salt Lake a little southeast of Eaglewood Golf Course. We zigzagged up the hill through the scrub oak and finally made it to the top where we could see downtown Salt Lake City. Even though it was hazy it was still a beautiful view. I decided snowshoeing is now one of my favorite activities.

Our evening was spent with our good friends Danny and Shelly Stirland and their kids Abby and Sam. We also had my long time friend Brandy Johnson and her kids Aaron, Hayden, Landon, Katelyn and Madden over for the festivities. We of course stuffed ourselves with delicious food and as always, had tons left over. Don't know why we can't prepare for 15 instead of 50! We all had a great time chatting and playing games. We even had our own little band going playing Band Hero on the wii. Jeff played the guitar, multiple people took turns on the drums and we had Shelly on vocals. As midnight struck, all the kids blew their party horns out the front door to make sure none of the neighbors were sleeping. It was a fun start to 2010!

Snowshoeing is one of my favorite activities too! And it's so much easier in Utah than in Oregon because the snow is nice and fluffy! Great photos and it's really making me miss snow!!!
