It's Great To Be Eight!!!

June 4th was the first day of summer break for the kids this year and was also special for another reason.  Annie was baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  She had been waiting for this day for such a long time and had been so excited.  She picked out the perfect dress and decided who she wanted to participate in the program.  The only thing better would have been if she could have been baptized on May 29th....her 8th birthday.  She asked Henry to speak on baptism, Aunt Kristin to speak on the gift of the Holy Ghost, and me and her Uncle Cal to say prayers.  Songs she chose were "When I Am Baptized" and "I'm Trying to be Like Jesus".  After her baptism everyone went to Golden Corral for lunch.....Annie's FAVORITE place to eat.  It was a wonderful day!
I thought Annie looked like an absolute angel.
Annie wanted her outfit to be extra special so I agreed to let her wear the diamond necklace that was given to me that belonged to Jeff's Grandma Wright.

Annie's CTR (Choose The Right) towel given to her by the Primary Presidency, made by Sis. Diane Veltri.  Annie loves how soft it is.
Other people that came to support Annie on her special day were Uncle Jason, Aunt Marica & cousin Chase.  Danny, Shelly, Abby & Sam Stirland.  Also, several other Primary teachers and leaders.

Annie says that turning 8 and being baptized this year has made it the best year of her life!
