Natural History Museum of Utah

I wish I was better with words so I could adequately describe the architecture of this building and how amazing it is.  Jack's second school field trip was here yesterday and I was in awe without even stepping one foot into the building.  The way it is built into the hillside and covered in copper...it's just beautiful.  I can't wait to take the rest of my family there to explore.  Jack and I had a great time.  The displays were impressive and the interactive areas were so fun and interesting for both of us.  I wish I would have had a normal camera to take better pictures because it's a bit dark inside for cell phone pictures.  I would recommend this place to anyone.  My only bit of advice would be to have an adult for each small child you have with you.  There is so much to see that the kids will want to run in all different directions to check it out.  Oh...unless of course your kids are perfect, little angels that always do what you say, stay by your side at all times, and never run ahead.  Yeah....like I said....adult for each child!  ;)

I borrowed this image from the internet.  Isn't it gorgeous?!

This was an interactive area called Our Backyard.
Jack spent quite a bit of time "fishing" in this area.

Stacking shapes filled with sand and water.
Taking a closer look at things.
 Very impressive glass display case.
"Wow mom!  This dinosaur had big feet!"
This display really made an impression on me.
 One of several animal displays.
It was funny...almost all kids (and a few adults) were hesitant to walk on this glass floor.
 Anatomy of a cell.
Remember that impressive glass display case?
Here's the full view.
Another sleepy ride home on the bus.
