Jack's First Field Trip

Well...it's been several months now since Jack went on his first field trip but since he went on his second field trip today, I thought I'd better blog about the first one first.

Jack's first field trip was in November to the Discovery Gateway Children's Museum.  http://www.childmuseum.org
He was super excited to get to ride a school bus and I was super excited to be able to attend with him.  His class is pretty small so I wasn't assigned another child to look after which was so nice for me.  I can barely handle the stress of keeping track of my own child let alone worrying about losing someone else's!

We had a fantastic time exploring the museum even though it was pretty crowded with other school kids there on field trips as well.  If we go again I plan to call ahead to find out their least busy day.
On the bus and ready to go!
This area might have been Jack's favorite.
You put plastic balls through all these vacuum tubes.
But Jack really enjoyed this area too!
Picking up "cement" blocks, moving them, and stacking them with the crane.
Well...maybe this was his favorite area.
He sure loves playing with water.
And he spent quite a bit of time in this area throwing paper items into the wind tunnel.

Shoot!  I don't know what his favorite area was.
There were so many fun things to do including rock climbing!
Making "sandwiches" in the pretend market.
 Checking out.
 Giddy up!
He was so exhausted he fell asleep on the bus all curled up in my scarf.

  1. What a cool place! I've heard of it but have never been. Now, I know I need to check it out.
