Why I love a good snowstorm

So far this Winter season we have had a couple really good snowstorms.  The kind of snowstorm that brings everyone out of their homes for one reason or another.  Whether it be to shovel it, play in it, or just to enjoy the beauty of it....everyone on my street seems to be outside in the snow after this kind of snowstorm.  And this is why I LOVE a good snowstorm.  It is one event that brings neighbors together for a common cause.  I love the sight of neighbor helping neighbor and getting to know one another just a bit more as sidewalks and driveways are cleared.  I love the sight of children (and adults) delighting in covering each other with snow and building the perfect snow fort.
The view from our driveway.....a beautiful sight!
I couldn't help but to take a bunch of pictures during our past big snowstorm on a Sunday morning.  I did feel a bit bad that everyone was helping to clear snow as I was playing photographer but I eventually put the camera down and joined my family and neighbors in savoring our Winter Wonderland.

Henry lending a hand at our neighbor's house.  So proud of that boy!!!
 Even when it's work...IT'S FUN!!!
My poor neighbor surveying the loss of what was the most beautiful tree on our street.
Jeff helping another neighbor cut down a damaged branch.
And still more downed trees.  The snow was just too much for these pear trees that still had their leaves.
LET THE FUN AND GAMES BEGIN!!!
My little snow angel Annie.

Snowball fight with neighbors.
Frosty the Snowman looks almost as happy as all the kids!
And just a few more pics of my favorite things...my adorable kids in the snow!
