Well, it's finally happened. It happened with the other two kids so I should have known this day was coming. I guess I was just hoping it wouldn't be so soon this time around. But it was inevitable and now I just have to accept it and deal with it. What is "IT"? "IT" is the fact that Jack now stealthily climbs out of his crib at night and makes his way to my bedroom and then starts saying "Mommy"! until he gets permission to climb up in to my bed. The last two nights it's been between 4am and 5am that he has done this. Fortunately, once he snuggles up with me he can fall right back to sleep for a couple hours. Unfortunately I can't! And usually if I try to pry myself from his grip he wakes up and protests the whole idea. I know, I know....I can hear everyone telling me "Just enjoy this time while he's little. They grow up so fast." Actually, I totally get that. Especially with Henry turning nine, I'm realizing that in 10 short years he could be leaving on a mission and that freaks me out. So, while I say unfortunately I can't go back to sleep after Jack climbs in to bed with me and then I am running on empty the rest of the day and I grumble constantly about not being able to get anything done around the house....I wouldn't trade this time right now for anything. What better way to be woken up than to have a sweet little boy want nothing more than to wrap his arms around my neck and sleep nose to nose for a while. And who can resist a face like this? I love you Jack and am blessed to be your MOMMY!

So sweet!!! He is so very very cute. I totally empathize with this post. It is such a wonderful time but it is hard when you are so tired. By the way, I meant to post on FB that I loved your foot pic with your prego belly. I made Ben take a few of me like that right before she was born.
